Is there any replacement yet As you may be aware, the free and open version of the api service wxdata that is used in many if not most weather skins in rainmeter is currently, and probably permanently, down This means that you are here because your weather skin has stopped working, and you want to know what you can do First and foremost, it probably won't do much good to post a thread on the forums saying my weather.
Feeling proud of myself that it worked, i went to sleep happy that the weather was once again on my screen and the job was done. Note that in new weather skins, at least the ones using weather.com as data provider, you don't have to set the location but the geographical coordinates Namely you have to set the geographical latitude and longitude of the point you'd like to get the weather information for. Many skins are using weather.com and they rely on the api key which sometimes gets changed
Many modern weather skins will have a weathercomjsonvariables.inc file or a separate skin with settings where you can change the api key.
